- Don't forget to change the default username and password of your new router.
- Turn on Firewalls on each computer and the router.
- Disable Service Set Identifier (SSID) broadcast.
- Turn on WPA / WEP encryption. In wireless “Security Mode” tab you can change settings of your wireless connection type, for personal use WPA and WPA2 Personal is recommended and for businessess select WPA and WPA2 Enterprise option.
- Turn off the wireless router when not in use.
