VSAT stands for Very Small Aperture Terminal, it is used to
transmit and receive signals via satellite.
Ku band and C band are primarily used for satellite
communication. C band systems operate on a lower frequency (3-6 Ghz), therefore
they are less affected by rain fade, and the Ku-Band systems operate on a
higher frequency (12-14 Ghz), and allow for smaller antennas, but depending on
the power of the satellite can be affected by bad weather conditions.
Vsats can be divided into two parts, the antenna attached with
the LNB (Low Noise Block) and the BUC (Block Up Converter) transmitter together
will make the outdoor unit. it is the first component of the vsat earth station
and the modem is indoor unit which makes connection between computer. Vsat Solution provider Afghanistan provide connectivity in remote and rural areas of Afghanistan,
where no other means of connectivity are available.
